Centered Riding Clinics

Minimum 2 days (3 preferred) for riders of all disciplines, riding interests, levels, and ages. All clinics include introductory lecture, daily groundwork sessions, balance and body awareness work and riding in small groups.

Clinics may emphasize:

Introductory Centered Riding: For those who have not yet experienced Centered Riding. Introduces Centered Riding concepts and how to apply Centered Riding techniques to your own riding.

Continuing Centered Riding: For those already experienced in Centered Riding. Tailored to riding interests and skill level, and experience in Centered Riding. Both introductory and Continuing Centered Riding classes may be offered in the same clinic.


Centered Jumping Clinics

3 days. Introductory Centered Riding Clinic first is recommended. Covers Centered Riding basics, groundwork, balance & body awareness, and how they apply to jumping introductory lecture included.

Day 1: Centered Riding basics on the flat.
Day 2: Centered Riding techniques applied in cavaletti and gymnastic jumping exercises.
Day 3: Centered Riding over fences (size & type appropriate for rider's experience.)
Lectures, Demonstrations and Speaking Engagements

Susan Harris is available for lectures, demonstrations and workshops on Horse Gaits, Balance and Movement, Centered Riding, Teaching and other topics for equestrian expositions, symposiums, and other events. Please call for details.


The Visible Horse: Anatomy in Motion Demonstration

Susan Harris paints the bones and muscles on a live horse, which is longed to demonstrate anatomy and movement. As shown at Equitana USA, the AQHA Congress, and other equestrian events.


Centered Riding Instructor Classes

7 days (in 2 parts)
A two part clinic for instructors in any discipline who wish to learn to use Centered Riding techniques in their teaching, and to qualify as Centered Riding Instructors. (Instructors must attend an Open Centered Riding Clinic first.)


Centered Riding Instructor Updating (Alumni) Clinics

4 days.
Updates Centered Riding Instructors with continuing education in Centered Riding.
