    We would like you to participate;

    You are invited to submit your tips that make life easier in the barn, ingenious shelving ideas, ways you clean tack or manure stains or brushes, mucking techniques, recipes for stall fresh ners, ways to keep water from freezing in the winter or algae growing in the summer, what do you use to hold waterÄany:hing besides a bathtub or regular stock tank... grooming tips or showing, tips for being a groom on the show grounds... home recipes for defeating thrush, or homemade conditioners, hoof oils, etc.

    For example, you can use Ajax and a toothbrush to gently clean the elastics of a girth. Use toothpaste, instead of nasty tasting metal polishes, to clean bits spotless. Corn starch or baby powder to whiten socks. Clean cat food cans as bridle holders. Or interesting uses for old tack, like using and old bit as a door knocker or handle... Got the idea...

    We love pictures as well - good quality black and white or clear color are good. Anything funny is always welcome!

    Photo and tip contributors will receive a credit in the book rider their entry as well as a free copy of THE HANDY AND BOOK OF HELPFUL HINTS FOR HORSE LOVERS, Please remember it takes about two years to complete a book so be patient for your copy to arrive.

    If you can't think of anything, just drop us a note anyway. We may have a more specific idea of what we need closer to the book's completion and may be able to write back with more definitive questions! Thank You!

  • This is going to be so much fun! Don't forget to tell us a bit about yourself and your horse or the horse you ride, whether he is a friend's or a school horse by providing a response to the following. Make sure you include it with your tip/photos:

    1. Name

    2. Mailing address

    3. Phone number

    4. Your age and horse's age

    5. Horse's name and breed

    6. Color and, if any, interesting markings1. Interesting things your horse does, eats, any tricks or unusual behavior....

    8. Are you involved in the horse industry?

    9. Do you show? English/Western? At what level? Recent victories?

    10. The name of your favorite tack store?

    And then, simply return your tips and photos to your favorite tack store in a envelope marked with your full name, tack store name, your address and telephone number or mail to:
