Woodland Stallion Station
When it comes to the major equestrian activities, Woodland Stallion Station is a horseman's dream. Whether the activity is breeding horses, training, riding lessons, showing or recreational riding and driving, it is possible to find it at the station. Situated on a knoll in the rolling foothills of the California Coast Ridge, the Station boasts a commanding view of the surrounding countryside. It is located on a 1,200 acre ranch that produces a variety of agricultural crops including alfalfa and wine grapes.
The station is operated by owner, Ann Taylor, a lifelong horsewoman and 4th generation Morgan breeder. Ann is an accomplished horse show judge, amateur exhibitor, and Morgan breeder who has won achievement awards for the consistent quality of stock she produces. Her breeding activities, however, are not limited to Morgans. Her program produces quality horses of other breeds.
the most important function at the Station, and the reason it was established 14 years ago, is horse breeding with a focus on the small breeder. Currently, a mixed group of stallions stand at the Station. the mix includes stallions who sire show, working and sport prospects.
